The Virgin Queen (2006) was her first appearance as queen Elizabeth as Queen Elizabeth in The Virgin Queen, and she was also the lead character from From Darkness (2015). The filmography of Duff comprises Enigma (2001), The Magdalene Sisters, Notes on Scandal (2006) French Film (2007) The Last Station Nowhere Boy Before I Go to Sleep (2014) and Suffragette in 2015. The roles she played in Shameless The Virgin Queen Nowhere Boy and Suffragette garnered the actress BAFTA nominations in both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories. In addition, she was awarded her the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress for her work in the television movie The History of Mr Polly.
