Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing But an Number in 1994. In the age group of 15, the album achieved Gold recognition. It was done as part of a group that was greatly in the style of R. Kelly and it put the singer in the limelight.
